The deposition of scale in the wellbore of oil wells is the most direct threat to crude oil production. It can cause a decrease in oil reservoir permeability, hydrophilicity of the oil reservoir, blockage of the borehole, difficulty in setting the packer, difficulty in dissipating heat from the electric pump motor, jamming of the electric pump blade guide wheel, pump jamming, pump leakage and other faults.
At present, oil fields adopt measures such as high-dose injection of anti scaling agents into the annulus and high concentration injection of anti scaling agents into the near wellbore formation, which have good effects. However, there are also problems such as high cost and large workload. The long-acting solid scale inhibitor, which is made by combining high-efficiency scale inhibitors and organic polymer scale inhibitors, can be used as a chemical solid scale inhibitor for drilling. It has the advantages of small dosage, long action cycle, low cost, and easy use.
Our company has developed a composite downhole descaling apparatus using this technology, which is an efficient and feasible scale prevention device.
Structure and principle:
The descaling apparatus consists of a solid scale inhibitor block, a pipe body, a joint, a filter plate, and an inner sieve tube. The high-efficiency anti scaling drug block is composed of high-efficiency anti scaling agent, framework support agent, dissolution rate regulator, and a small amount of active agent.
The high-efficiency anti scaling agent AW is mainly composed of AS-1 and WSP-3 high-efficiency anti scaling agents. AS-1 is a multi-component organic potassium phosphate with good anti scaling effect; WSP-3 is a ternary polymer. The anti scaling effect of the compounded anti scaling agent AW is significantly higher than that of using a single anti scaling agent.
The framework support agent is a high molecular weight polymer, which is a good anti wax and anti scale agent. It has a high molecular network structure and has a dispersing effect on the scale forming crystal nuclei. It can be suspended in water without sedimentation and does not adhere to the metal surface to form scale. When mixed with the anti scale agent, it is processed and formed, and plays a role in supporting the anti scale agent to slowly dissolve it in water.
Dissolution rate regulator is a high molecular weight polymer that can change the dissolution rate of high-efficiency anti scaling agents in anti scaling blocks at different temperatures depending on its dosage. A small amount of active agent has the effect of preventing scaling crystals from adhering to the pipe wall and damaging the crystal structure.
The above-mentioned drugs are mixed and stirred evenly in a certain proportion, and then solidified by specialized equipment to form a solid anti scaling block with a large pore in the middle, which is then loaded into a specially designed working cylinder to make a solid anti scaling device.

The anti scaling agent can be slowly dissolved in the downhole fluid to achieve anti scaling effect through adsorption, chelation, dispersion, etc.
